Artisan Bread with Lemony, Parsley Burrata
Simple, rustic, and incredibly delicious. Made with just four ingredients, this artisan bread comes together with minimal effort and bakes into a perfectly crisp, golden loaf.
Served warm with the lemony parsley burrata, it’s the kind of combination you’ll want to make again and again.
Artisan Bread
Ingredients
- 3 cups of flour
- 1 and ½ cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon of fine sea salt
- 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, sift the flour. Add the warm water and yeast, then sprinkle in the salt.
- Using a spatula or wooden spoon, mix until a shaggy dough forms and no dry flour remains. The dough should feel slightly sticky, but not loose or runny.
- Cover the bowl with a clean towel or plastic wrap and let rise at room temperature for about 3 hours, or until doubled in size and airy.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Line a bread pan or baking vessel with parchment paper and dust lightly with flour to prevent sticking.
- Transfer the dough gently onto the prepared surface and shape into a loose loaf. Dust lightly with flour and score the top with a sharp knife or blade.
- Bake covered for 30 minutes to allow the loaf to steam and expand fully.
- Remove the cover and continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, until the crust is deeply golden and crisp.
- Let cool slightly before slicing.
Tip: For a deeper flavor and better texture, refrigerate the dough overnight after the first rise and bake the next day.

Lemony, Parsley Burrata
Ingredients
- 8oz burrata
- 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 lemon, zested and juiced
- 1 tablespoon parsley, finely chopped
- Fine sea salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, lemon zest, lemon juice, parsley, and a pinch of sea salt.
- Place the burrata in a shallow serving bowl or plate. Slice gently into the center so the cream begins to spill naturally.
- Spoon the lemon-parsley dressing the burrata, allowing it to pool around the cheese.
- Serve immediately with your fresh bread.
Tip: Let the burrata sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving – the texture becomes softer, creamier, and more expressive.
